Starlet Wilson

d. January 24, 2020

The family of Starlet Shanae Wilson regrets to inform you of her sudden passing in the early morning hours of January 24th, 2020. Starlet, known in life as “Star”, left this world peacefully & with the presence of Christ the Savior in her heart. Starlet became a member of Praise Temple, where she was a member of the children’s choir & professed her life to Christ at an early age. In life, Starlet was an incredibly talented amateur hairdresser whose talent came to her naturally in childhood. She also possessed a comedic gift of gab that saw her able to make anyone around her smile during any hardship they were facing. No matter what she faced in life, she wore a smile on her face & humor in her heart. Starlet was humble, selfless, generous, and incredibly organized & cleanly. She considered everyone she got along with in life as extended family in her heart. Once you got along with Star, you had a friend in your life forever. She will be sorely missed by all who knew & loved her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Shelia D. Wilson & her maternal grandfather Joe Dickerson. She leaves behind children; Keith Xavier Coleman, Keyvel Xavier Coleman, & Kasshae Star Wilson. Father; Kenneth “Chew” Wilson. Maternal Grandmother; Rita D. Craig. Paternal Grandmother; Janie Ruth Wilson. Sisters; Chantay Kennedy, Brittany Wilson, Chanel Wilson, & Sasha Bryant. Step-Father; H. G. Bryant. Step-Sisters; Shari & Christi Bryant. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and plenty of friends who enjoyed her laughter & light in life.

Special thanks to Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, Keith A. Coleman, Jamie Hairston, and all those who offered their condolences during this time of bereavement. May God send his blessings to you all in abundance.
