My name is Susan (Fullen) Gilmore. I was born at Saint Ann’s Hospital on May 12th, 1960. I was raised on a little farm in Johnstown, OH where I found my passion for animals. When I was a kid, I was in 4-H band and marching band where I played the clarinet and percussion. Later in life I sang in the church choir. Music has always been a passion of mine, whether I was playing or singing it didn’t matter. And, I tried to instill that same joy of music to my children.
I was blessed with the opportunity to share my faith with children through Sunday school classes, summer youth camps, and other youth ministries. God blessed me with the opportunity to raise children. I worked tirelessly throughout my life for my family finding my favorite job at the end of my career. I worked one season at the Columbus Zoo with my oldest daughter. After working behind a desk for decades it was fun to be out with people, animals, and with Deb. My children were my whole life from the day they entered this world until the day I left it.
I passed away on my 59th birthday and Mother’s Day this year, May 12th, 2019. I am preceded by my Father Franklin Fullen and Mother Janice (Cotton) Fullen. I am survived by daughters Deborah Gilmore and Ashley Gilmore; sister Ellen (Jason) Frank; niece Kelsey Frank and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held 4-5pm Sunday, May 19th, 2019 at Genoa Baptist Church with service to follow. Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd, Westerville, Ohio 43082.
