Theresa Odom of Columbus, Ohio passed away at home on April 22, 2019. She was the youngest of three children, born on August 8, 1967 to parents William J. Odom Sr and Minnie Lee Odom in Estill, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by mother Minnie Lee Odom and brother William (Little Peter) Odom Jr. Theresa is survived by her father William J. Odom Sr of Estill South Carolina, brother Dwight Odom of Jacksonville, Florida, aunt Bridell Bryant of Brooklyn, New York, aunt Fannie Singleton of Brooklyn, New York, aunt Ethel Davis of Varnville, South Carolina, adopted son Tyler McSarland of Columbus, Ohio, niece Amber Odom of Jacksonville, Florida, niece Bria Odom of Jacksonville, Florida, and devoted friend Mae Fields of Columbus, Ohio, and many more beloved family members and friends.

Theresa lived a meaningful life after accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age. Growing up she was a well known basketball player at Estill High School, where left in 1986. She then finished up her schooling at Jobco where she continued to play basketball and helped her team win the ‘86-’87 conference championship. After obtaining her G.E.D she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she resided until she went home to be with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5 pm- 7 pm at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, Clintonville Chapel, 4343 N High St, Columbus, Oh 43214. The service will begin at 5 pm and will be followed by a time of brief fellowship.
