Yolanda Evans

Yolanda Fuentes (Tejeda) Evans, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her kids on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Yolanda was born on August 19, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Enrique “Henry” Tejeda and Paula (Fuentes) Goode. She married her husband of 53 years, Ronald Evans, in 1967. Yolanda enjoyed camping and taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ron, her father Enrique Tejeda, grandmother Luz Freeman, and brother Henry Tejeda. Yolanda is survived by her mother and father Paula and David Goode, children Don (Vicky) Evans, Mark (Melissa) Evans, Amy (Tim) Kazee, Tracy (Gary) Harmon, grandchildren Mark (Maria) Evans II, Brooklyn (Mohamed) Wade, Gary Harmon Jr., Ericka Harmon, Alex Kazee, Katie Kazee, Matthew Evans, Garia Harmon, Shelby (Drew) Long, and Corey (Jonathan) Sprague, great-grandchildren Cali, Kamila, Autumn, Gabe, Karalee, Jonah, Annabelle, and coming soon Mason, brothers Jerry (Patricia) Tejeda and Mike Goode, and sister Teresa Steece.

Services will be held at The Shaw-Davis Funeral Home Clintonville Chapel, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm, with the funeral following on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11 am. Due to the current COVID-19 precautions, the number in attendance will be limited to 40 people, masks will be required while visiting the funeral home as well as social distancing.
